Housing shapes the arrangement: 5 of our Delhi localities are dominated by gated societies (registered helper entry, fixed slots), 26 by independent houses (flexible timings, live-in common), and the rest are mixed or builder-floor areas.

Frequently asked questions
What if the cook leaves or the food does not suit us?
A replacement policy is in place for cook placements. If the cook leaves or the cooking style does not work for your family, you can raise a replacement request and a new profile is matched to your preferences. The policy terms are explained at booking.
What leave arrangements are common for cooks?
Cooks usually take a weekly off or an agreed number of leaves per month, with festival days discussed in advance. Since meals are time-sensitive, many households agree that the cook informs them ahead of any planned leave. It is worth deciding early how you will manage meals on the cook's off days.
What does a home cook do?
A home cook prepares breakfast, lunch and/or dinner as agreed, veg or non-veg according to your household's preference. The role includes kitchen prep such as chopping, kneading and marination, and cleaning up the kitchen after cooking. Tiffin or dabba preparation can be included if you agree it in advance.
What is not part of a cook's job?
House cleaning beyond the kitchen is not included; a maid is hired for that. Grocery shopping is excluded unless you explicitly agree it, and catering for large events is outside the scope. Childcare and elder-care duties are also not part of a cook's role.
Are trans-Yamuna areas like Mayur Vihar, Laxmi Nagar and Shahdara covered?
Yes. East Delhi covers Mayur Vihar, Mayur Vihar Phase III, Preet Vihar, Laxmi Nagar, Vasundhara Enclave and Gandhi Nagar, while North East Delhi covers Shahdara, Vivek Vihar, Bhajanpura, Seelampur and Karawal Nagar.
Are Gurgaon, Noida and Faridabad included under Delhi?
No. Gurgaon, Noida and Greater Noida each have their own city page with their own zones and localities. Faridabad and Ghaziabad are not currently part of the service footprint, so they do not have pages.
What if the helper leaves or does not work out?
A replacement policy is in place across all services. If a helper leaves, is irregular, or the fit is not right, you can raise a replacement request and a new profile is matched to your original requirements. The specific terms are shared with you at the time of booking.
