Can I hire a cook for just one meal a day?
Yes. Part-time cooks come for one or more meal slots, and each slot usually takes one to two hours depending on the number of people and dishes. Full-time and live-in cooks are available for households that want all meals and snacks handled through the day.
Can I get a cook for my regional cuisine or diet?
You can specify cuisine preferences, such as North Indian, South Indian, Bengali, Maharashtrian or others, and dietary needs like Jain, vegetarian, diabetic-friendly or low-oil cooking. Matching is done against these preferences, and a trial meal helps confirm the cook's style suits your family. The more specific you are, the better the match.
Is there a trial before confirming a cook?
A trial cooking session is normally arranged so you can taste the food and see how the cook works in your kitchen. You can also interview the cook about the dishes they are comfortable with and their timings. The arrangement is confirmed after the trial if both sides are happy.
Are cooks verified?
Yes. Each cook's documents are checked and background verification is completed before placement. Hygiene practices and comfort with your kitchen setup, such as gas, induction or a chimney, are things you can discuss during the interview.
How far along the Western Suburbs does coverage go?
The Western Suburbs zone runs from Bandra through Khar, Santacruz, Juhu, Vile Parle, Andheri, Versova, Jogeshwari, Goregaon, Malad and Kandivali up to Dahisar. Each of these has its own locality page listing the pincodes it covers.
Is Thane covered?
Thane city is not currently listed. On the eastern side, coverage on the Central line ends at Mulund and Mulund East, and on the Navi Mumbai side it ends at Airoli. Powai, Ghatkopar, Chembur, Vikhroli and Bhandup are all covered in the Eastern Suburbs zone.
